Two of the most iconic and classic furniture designers of our time...
"The husband and wife team of Charles and Ray Eames are widely regarded as America’s most important designers. Perhaps best remembered for their mid-century plywood and fiberglass furniture, the Eames Office also created a mind-bending variety of other products, from splints for wounded military during World War II, to photography, interiors, multi-media exhibits, graphics, games, films and toys. But their personal lives and influence on significant events in American life – from the development of modernism, to the rise of the computer age – has been less widely understood. Narrated by James Franco, Eames: The Architect and the Painter is the first film dedicated to these creative geniuses and their work. An officially opening is set for November 18 at the IFC Center in New York City, with further play dates offered here." - Hypebeast

OriginalFake x Peanuts – Halloween T-Shirt
KAWS at it again, this time with Charles Schulz' signature character , Snoopy/Joe Cool. T-Shirt collab and a figure as shown here...
"The OriginalFake x Peanuts Halloween collaboration t-shirt is now available. The shirt features Snoopy atop the Great Pumpkin character from the Peanuts comic strip, and KAWS has given the giant Jack O’ Lantern his signature X eyes. The Great Pumpkin was first introduced into the Peanuts strip in 1959, and has been a perennial pop culture Halloween favorite, after being featured in an iconic TV special. KAWS is obviously heavily influenced by American Cartoon design, and he has been working on several Charles Schulz-inspired projects lately, including the recent Joe Kaws Snoopy figure, in addition to the Peanuts 60 Years Tour shirt. The Halloween t-shirt is available in 3 colors (plus a V-neck women’s cut version) and features the KAWS/Charles Schulz art on the front, and the combined logos on the back. Available for 7,000JPY, only from OriginalFake. Obviously going to be a quick mover, so act fast if you want one. Check out images after the jump." - Freshness

Superdenim: Tricker’s Factory Visit
A visit to one of the most amazing English shoemakers around...
"UK denim retailer, Superdenim, recently visited the Tricker’s factory in Northampton, England. Tricker’s, a shoe manufacturer for nearly two centuries, represents the essence of English fashion with classical pieces and exquisite craftsmanship. The small, concealed factory houses 90 employees assembling footwear with the same standards of the original shoe in 1829. This brief glimpse presents the very reason why Tricker’s is able to maintain its strong footprint as a traditional shoemaker." - Hypebeast

The North Face Purple Label – Down Outerwear Collection
More Winter designs from the TNF Purple Label and Nanamica. The usual bright color palette combined with TNF quality...
"Scouring through the archive stored by The North Face, Eiichiro Homma, managing director of Japanese retailer nanamica, was able to duplicate some of the lesser known designs from 1970s by the brand. The result, the Down Outerwear line for TNF Purple Label franchise’s winter collection this year. All in exacting details to the original, Homma added modern day touches like the 30D PERTEX fabric. Thus, re-creating classics for a new generation of fashion conscious, especially when the so-called “urban mountaineering” trend is all the rage now in Japan. The collection features Down Parka, Down Vest, Mountain Down Parka, Wool Vest, and Reversible Primaloft Parka. It also includes Down Filled Shorts and finally, Down Muffler. All are available now at nanamica flagship store in Daikanyama, Tokyo, its branch stores in Kobe and Fukuoka. Nissan Juke-R – The Building Of… | Video
A hybrid of two vehicles I would definitely like to see happen on a production level. Videos after the jump...
"For some, its nothing short of blasphemy, to think of adding the innards of legendary Nissan GT-R into the frogugly Nissan Juke. But as technicians at Europe’s Nissan Technology Center begin to put the 520-horsepower crossover together, the one-off concept vehicle looks a lot better than artist renderings. See the build process in a series of video installments as the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 takes up residence at the most unusual built. So what do you think of this Nissan mutant?" - Freshness

The Lytro Light Field Camera
Still a bit costly, but I'm intrigued by the ability to edit the depth of field after the fact...
"The Lytro Light Field Camera is going to be a blast. Lytro Inc. announced today their first consumer light field camera and it looks pretty damn awesome. This small, but amazing camera enables the user to easily capture an image with the simple press of a button (doesn’t sound too special being that that is how one normally captures an image, but there’s more to it). What is captured is a living image brought possible by the camera’s ability to capture the entire field of light, as opposed to a single plane of light like conventional cameras. As a camera enthusiast, this is great. You also are given the ability to focus your image after it is taken. In fact, if you go to Lytro’s site, you can scroll through an image library in which you can play around with the focus of a whole slew of images. This post would have been completed sooner if it were not for that pleasant distraction. Two different cameras are available in 3 different colors at the moment. A 16gb, which will get you 750 images is available, as well as an 8gb that will give you 350 images.

OriginalFake x Porter X EMB Wallet
A long time fan of the OF x Porter collaborations. This recent release would pair quite well coincidentally enough with the upcoming Supreme x Clarks Desert Mail Boots...
"The emblem that once graced the faces of New York bus stop ads has since become a go-to branding element for KAWS and OriginalFake. The continuing partnership between Porter and OriginalFake debuts a new iteration based on last season’s X EMB Wallets. Carrying the same understated embossing, the logo is inscribed across the wallet’s leather build. The two-tone wallets adopt a separate contrasting or tonal interior leather construction, eight card slots, Chomper teeth embroidery and a black D-ring hoop. Available for ¥20,000 JPY (approx. $260 USD) each from the OriginalFake online shop." - Hypebeast

DMC 2013 DeLorean
With all the recent buzz about Back to The Future (Nike Mag), it's not surprising that DeLorean has finally decided to re-release such a iconic vehicle from our past...
"Great Scot! Yes, you are looking at the brand-new, all-electric DeLorean set to release for 2013. Direct from DMC: “For several years, DeLorean Motor Company of Texas has been reconstituting the fruit of John Z. Deloreans’s troubled loins (phrasing!). Now we are working with electric-car startup Epic EV to put an all-electric DMC-12 into production by 2013.” Now all you need to complete your Marty McFly kit (assuming you have the Nike MAGs already) is a functional Mattel Hoverboard.
Also be sure to check out our Q&A with Cameron Wynne of the DeLorean Motor Company.

New Balance HS77 Holiday 2011
Curious to see if these will ever hit stateside and if they're actually similar to the Free sole...
"Releasing first as part of the Streething x Leftfoot x New Balance ‘APAC Project 2011′, the new mid top HS77 sneaker will also see a general release for Holiday 2011.
Featuring a seamless suede upper, leather heel tab and nylon ankle support and tongue, we are already fans of the sneaker. Some might say it comes very close to Nike’s Free sole system, which might also be true, but nevertheless we believe New Balance has cooked up a nice looking and innovative sneaker that is worth taking a closer look at.
For Holiday 2011 the sneaker comes in three colorways, featuring tonal uppers and color accents on the laces and heel. Mita will release them November 2011." - High Snobiety

New Balance M1500SGB
Sigh, if they only had my size in stock. Love the added bonus of the wooden box...
"While many are crazed for Made in USA goods, New Balance’s storied Made in England releases are certainly up there in the desirability department. Here we have an example of some of that good ole UK craftsmanship with these M1500SGB. The 1500 NB’s are probably one of the better silhouettes and this specific gun metal leather colorway does the shoes justice. This particular pair of M1500s come in a limited edition matching wooden box and is currently available over at Hanon.

"Stella Artois releases a rather tongue-in-cheek viral video, the “Stella Artois 9 Step Pouring Ritual”. The video comes in anticipation of the Stella Artois World Draught Masters competition on October 26, 2011, in Buenos Aires. True to the Draught Master’ s underpinnings, the video’s jocular tone promotes the brewery’s time-honored 9 Step Pouring Ritual that is practiced and revered by the world’s best bartenders and connoisseurs from around the world

"This coming Friday, Japanese fast fashion chain Uniqlo will be opening its largest global flagship store to date on 5th Avenue in New York City. Thanks to Selectism we can give you a detailed look inside the impressive new mega store.
“Designed by Wonderwall (you know the name), the new UNIQLO shop will be the largest single retailer on Fifth Ave. with more than 89,000 square feet of retail space across three floors. Those familiar with the UNIQLO SOHO location and the congestion that fills it during the busy weekend, will want to explore the new Fifth Ave location. The retail space is open and wide for shopping and browsing. More than 200 LCD and LED screens throughout the new store will deliver UNIQLO styled looks and more.Largest store on 5th Avenue? Denim for 9.99 USD for the opening? I think those are enough reasons to pass by this coming Friday.
The UNIQLO Fifth Ave. opening has been blitzed hard in the media for months now and Friday will be a exceptional day for the retailer. Those looking for store opening specials will be pleased to hear that their basic v-neck cashmere sweater will sell for $50 (down from the normal $99) and Japanese denim lovers will want to be quick to lock in a pair of slim or straight denim for $9.99. That’s right: $9.99.”

Another pair of potential Footscape Woven Chukkas to add to the collection. Been loving the footscape sole and how light and comfortable they are...

"Intended with comfort in mind, the Air Footscape Woven Chukka certainly would not win any pageantry. Yet, there is this strange, inexplicable attraction to them. And so, the seasonal favorites are back again for Fall/Holiday 2011 as part of the Nike Sportswear collection. In three color schemes, the 68G or Light Charcoal, the 3CE or Black, and finally the 80S or Iguana, all made of supple tumbled leather with Neoprene sockliner and articulated outsole on white. As with all the Air Footscape Woven Chukka thus far, each of three includes a pull-tab embroidered with the Nike internal color code. To be available in the coming weeks at select Nike Sportswear retail locations.

Sperry x Band of Outsiders Fall/Winter 2011 Boat Shoes
Not the biggest fan of Boat/Deck shoes, but the Chukka's are looking really good here...
"Union Los Angeles presents a nice look at this season’s Sperry x Band of Outsiders Fall/Winter 2011 collaborative boat shoes. 2 different silhouettes are offered with a traditional 3-hole boat shoe (in 2 colors) and a chukka version. Both boast some nice details but an especially nice touch has to be the wool/leather upper of the chukka.
Take a detailed look after the jump." - High Snobiety

New Balance – Past Present Future Exhibition Tokyo | Event Recap
Another moment wishing Japan was easier to access...
"New Balance Japan recently hosted the Past Present Future exhibition in Tokyo, where the main attraction was the launch of the Past Present Future collection, designed by the New Balance Asia Pacific division, Leftfoot and Streething. A multistory space housed the exhibition which featured key sneakers from the vast New Balance archive. On top of that, several Japanese artists were invited to showcase their favorite New Balance model in a video interview format. The party extended to the exterior of the building where designs and works from participating artists were projected on the outside walls. via: sneakeresource" - Freshness

Vans California Chukka Decon CA
Vans California Chukka: classic, clean, premium materials, that's what's up...
"We present the new Vans California Chukka Decon CA from the new Holiday 2011 Collection. The California line is easily becoming a favorite, presenting modern interpretations of classics in premium materials, while never going to far. Simple and premium are the principles of the line and we can stand behind those every day.
The Chukka Decon CA is basically a deconstructed version of the iconic mid top sneaker, featuring premium leather uppers and no lining. For Holiday 2011 the sneaker comes in three colorways." - High Snobiety

COMME des GARÇONS JUNYA WATANABE MAN SERGE JACKET
Comme des Garcons at it again, bringing that dapper, distinguished appeal to their outerware...
"This is an ALL CAPS jacket. Boss man jacket. Cotton wool blends, leather patches and a healthy scoop of twill. They say it’s slightly fuzzy in texture. Must be talking corduroy. Google Translate even says “let me overdressed wearing a pounding.” Whatever that means. Am I right? Love at first sight. Junya. Watanabe, And vendor. Creating chemistry for your nonnative Dweller 5P denim. They’ve kept us waiting long enough. Robocop." - High Snobiety

visvim FBT Kudu JP
Visvim's meticulous attention to quality and detail combined with only the best, luxury materials...
"In the desire to have his customers experience a wide range of luxuries, visvim‘s founder Hiroki Nakamura often seeks exotic materials as the foundation for his footwear design. One example is the new FBT Kudu JP, completely hand made with Kudu hide, a free roaming antelope found only in parts of Africa. Lined with cow hide and a natural cork footbed, all treated with natural dyes, or in some cases no dyes at all. The end product, in visvim’s signature moccasin silhouette, is something extremely breathable and light on your feet. To enhance the design further, Nakamura added a durable outsole, custom-made by Vibram, with a TPU heel stabilizer for rigidity. Comes in Dark Brown or Bordeaux, though unfortunately the editions will only be available in Asia at this time." - Freshness
