Concerned About Daily Productivity...

Tread too close and your productivity will be consumed by tweeting and updating your facebook status to read, "hit me up on gchat..."

"The Bermuda Triangle of Productivity - where does all the time go?

>Massive/wallpaper sized version here!<

I drew this one day after two unrelated friends complained about how they get sucked into certain websites instead of doing work, which is exactly what I do. I think….this maybe, possibly, maybe happens to some other people as well.

A4 prints of this are now available in my shop!" - Fuchsia Macaree

White Mountaineering x PORTER x B Jirushi Yoshida – Leather Waist Pack

Imagining a utility belt, much more fashionable and less obvious than a "Fanny/Hip/Waist-pack..."

"In search of the perfect waist pack, White Mountaineering designer Yosuke Aizawa looked no further than the common tool pouch carried by construction workers.  Its perfect proportions, however, needed a few improvements.  In place of the common cowhide, Aizawa opted for supple calf leather instead.  And to ensure no discoloration came with wear, the soft hide were selected accordingly through its natural color from brown or black cattle breed.  Next, the designer tapped the best bag manufacturer in Tokyo, the folks from PORTER, to realized his ambitions.  When finished, the Leather Waist Pack from White Mountaineering, PORTER and retailer B Jirushi Yoshida achieved the aesthetics of traditional leatherware yet strike a balance with modern functions.  Seamless zip enclosure, along with ample spaced compartments, store pens, notepad and delicate, like cellphone and camera.  Comes in brown and black suede, now available at BEAMS retail locations across Japan." - Freshness

Sperry ‘Cloud’ Brogues Fall 2011

Sperry adds the Brogue design to their line...

"Sperry introduces Brogue shoes for Fall 2011. As part of their higher-end ‘Cloud’ the line, the shoes present an interesting fusion of styles: the uppers are very classically-styled brogues, while the soles and laces are similar to what you would find on a Sperry Top-Sider boat shoe. Look for these in Fall 2011. Seen at Bread & Butter Berlin.

The Standard x KAWS Light Bulbs

Kaws brings another element of product inspired by his signature design...

"André Balazs Properties have always had gorgeously unique light bulbs… Chateau Marmont has a playful Pan (god of fertility, unbridled male sexuality and carnal desire to name a few) in a bulb… The Mercer has its signature M… it’s about time that The Standard Hotel’s had theirs as well! Announced last night, and literally flying off their digital and physical shelves, the KAWS Light Bulb Set for the Standard are a limited, but non-numbered edition of 1,000 sets that contain 3 bulbs each, of one bulb in each color: red, purple and green. While a few blocks away, i popped over to check out the new display of them in The Standard New York Shop window… as well as unboxing them and playing with them up close! The glow just draws you in, and the X’s are so signature KAWS. Ready to take a peek at it all up close? See the many pics on the next page!

New Balance ‘Made in England’ 1500 Fall 2011

1500s, the one style that just doesn't seem to pop up too often stateside. These definitely need more recognition...

"While at Bread & Butter Berlin we took an early look at several sneakers from the New Balance Fall 2011 collection. Amongst ‘Made in England’ 576s, 577s and new colors of the H710 hiking sneaker, a three-pair set of 1500s was the clear highlight. Offered in magenta, red and grey on grey, the shoe is a definite winner. Look for these at select NB accounts this fall.

Air Jordan III (3) – White/Fire Red-Cement Grey | Release Info

One of the best and I cannot wait. They definitely applied the extra details this time around...

"For Air Jordan aficionados, there is simple no time to take a break.  After the crazed lineups for Doernbecher Freestyle Air Jordan III and Air Jordan XI Cool Grey late last year, it is back to square one as Jordan Brand prepared to re-release the Air Jordan III (3) in White/Fire Red-Cement Grey.  The “first” of many, among them the first to have the iconic elephant pattern and the first to have the Jumpman emblem, this retro version of AJ3 kept the key essentials, down to the hangtag and box, with only one difference.  While the OG version had “Nike Air” as the logo, this upcoming version will have Jumpman icon instead.  Nevertheless, it still will be one of the most sought after items for January 2011.

Style: 136064-105
Color: White/Fire Red-Cement Grey-Black

What a way to travel and explore Japan...

Tokyo to Osaka Teaser from John Murillo on Vimeo.

"In the summer of 2009, 13 cyclists from Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco took their fixies to the Land of the Rising Sun for an ambitious undertaking: a 350-mile tour from Tokyo to Osaka. Their goal (along with survival) was to experience a more intimate kind of travel and make a documentary of their adventure. Having already seen the trailer last year we now take a look into the full version of the film, directed by Nic Hill. Enjoy!

Maximo Riera Octopus Chair

Captain Nemo would be proud...

"WOW. Sometimes emails come in, sound too good to be true, then you click a link, and your jaw just drops. You can barely call Maximo Riera’s Octopus Chair, a chair. It’s more like an Octopus THRONE. This chair is first of a The Animal Chairs collection, consisting of more than 15 different pieces. A true art piece, it has evolved from sketches to 3D renders to CNC’d blocks which were assembled, glued, sanded, and painted by hand. A truly impressive artistic take on where the chair meets nature… one can only imagine what it must feel like to sit in such a throne! Or as Riera says “The Octopus Chair therefore becomes a powerful intersection of complex human design integrated with nature’s splendor.” Wow. You really must see more pictures of it (and the making of) on the next page." - notcot

Nike Zoom Huarache TR Black/Volt

Solid color combo on a Huarache TR to be released in the coming months...

"Spring 2011 welcomes another batch of colorways in Nike’s warmly received Zoom Huarache TR, with this being one of the standouts. A strapped mid top design, the kicks take on aggressive styling with details throwback to classic Nike trainers of the past. Shown above is black/volt version, accented nicely with hints of grey. The sneakers will see a release later this season via select Nike retail spots.

“LIGHTTIME TOKYO” by Gogy Esparza

Need to plan another Japan/Taiwan trip...

"Earlier this year, photographer and barber Gogy Esparza made the trek to Tokyo for his exhibition titled LIGHTTIME TOKYO which featured over 3,000 pictures placed throughout the walls of Tokyo’s popular hotspot Le Baron. On the way, Gogy documented the process through this short film and while it lacks the crispness of a DSLR rig, the Canon S95 video does well to capture the essence of his trip and journey. The video includes cameos from the likes of Masafumi Watanabe (Bebetan), Jey Perie and Hideki “HUE” Kimura of the Deluxe/BEDWIN family, photographer YONE, CAPiTA Snowboards’ Ephraim Chui and John Buellen of Kinfolk among others." - Hypebeast - Eugene Kan

House AIBS by Atelier Architecture Bruno Erpicum & Partners

Absolutely amazing with a picture perfect view...

"House AIBS by Atelier Architecture Bruno Erpicum & Partners is anchored on top of a cliff on the Spanish coast. Breathtaking panoramas." - notcot

"Just like a path or road which comes to a dead end, the land becomes rippled before turning into a staircase which leads you down to the lower bridge from where you can appreciate the landscape in all its beauty. The living areas are enclosed by a single large window frame. The windows also provide protection against the winds. There are also large windows along the patio which is in an enclosed area. The cliff which has an olive tree on top provides a second wall for the patio. Away from view, the swimming pool lies to the side of the building beyond the terrace, surrounded by the natural environment. A number of walls and pillars have been painstakingly erected on the concrete surface and support the floor above which contains the bedrooms. Located at 159 metres altitude, none of the building’s features constitute a threat to nature. Under blue skies the building appears calm and serene whilst in stormy weather it has a striking and tormented air about it. Photographer: Jean-Luc Laloux" - Erpicum.org

Nike Air Kukini Spring 2011

Nike brings back the Kukini. Not sure if that's the best decision, but there is a following I'm sure. If Nike is considering reviving their runners, they need to bring out more Presto colorways for sure.

AGO: Art Gallery of Ontario by Frank Gehry

Frank Gehry returns to his native city to share his amazing talents with AGO, which likely attributed to path of his career...

"It is fitting that the 70-year-old Frank Gehry ended up re-envisioning the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) for his native city of Toronto. As a boy, Gehry visited the AGO often, and the effect of those visits on him and his future career was important. Gehry has lived most of his life in the U.S., but the AGO remake allows Toronto to reap some of the benefits of his massive talent before it’s all too late.

One of Gehry’s early sources of career inspiration was the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto (1898-1976), known as the father of Scandinavian modernism. The influence of Aalto’s love of gently curving light-color wood, and his clean and airy architectural lines, can be sensed at the newly refurbished AGO. Whether or not Gehry thought of Aalto when he designed the spiraling plywood-faced staircase for the main entry hall is irrelevant, but the feel of the space is decidedly Aalto-esque. To those of us who love the work of both architects, the newly transfigured AGO is simply fabulous." - The Cool Hunter - Tuija Seipell
