Another great video giving us a glimpse into one of the famed fabric producers in the world, Harris Tweed...
"Produced in the Outer Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland since the 19th century, Harris Tweed
has come to adorn everything from outerwear footwear to hats, bags,
gloves and other accessories over the years, giving them all a rugged
yet refined quality few materials can achieve. Made from 100% pure wool,
this six-and-a-half-minute video shows the process of transforming the
fiber before it is ready to receive the iconic Harris Tweed Orb stamp,
first introduced in 1909, thus signifying that the textile has been
“hand woven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides,
finished in the islands of Harris, Lewis, North Uist, Benbecula, South
Uist and Barra and their several purtenances (The Outer Hebrides), made
from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides.”" - Hypebeast
