Well-known designer McNairy works with Dainite, long-standing British footwear company to develop a specially colored sole for McNairy's line...
"In the most recent update on their travels around the globe, the folks at Tres Bien Shop highlighted their visit to designer Mark McNairy‘s
cozy studio in New York City last September. While placing purchase
order for this season’s merchandises, they also chatted up with McNairy
about a particular yellow Dainite sole. Established in 1894 during the height of British supremacy, Dainite
is one of the few remaining footwear maker in England today that
specialize in soles and heels. In 1910, the company introduced the
rubber studded sole, one that quickly became Dainite’s
signature design. Generally comes in black and sepia brown, though
McNairy was able to request an all-yellow version apparently. Look for
it and other interesting offerings, such as the “Fu@k Off” design, from
Mark McNairy at Tres Bien Shop.
