TopCar Porsche Panamera Stingray GTR
The Panamera continues to grow on me, this version even more so...
"In auto news, Russian specialists from TopCar designed a new tuning package, Stingray GTR, sliced up for the perfect ride, the Porsche Panamera. The GTR body kit is limited to 25, making it an exclusive. On the technical end, the GTR features extensive, mechanical improvements, offering a modified version of the 4.8 liter unit that fits in the German model, now delivering around 600 horsepower provided by the new exhaust system. There is an updated version currently under development that offers over 700 horsepower.
As for style, the car has become much wider. The aerodynamic body kit shows front and rear bumpers, an integrated diffuser, a spoiler on the boot lid, redesigned doors, a new bonnet and side skirts, LED lights and a few extra features. Rear doors and wings are “visually combined” so the back door opens with a mere press of a button. The tuners also included carbon inserts, which ensure lightweight durability and Kenlar, a firm material often used for helmets. Each of the productions will be individually designed and altered for the customer’s taste. As for pricing, the GTR starts at $63, 500, not including the costs of the mechanical improvements." - High Snobiety

An Oral History of the Graphic T-Shirt
A standard canvas for designers to get their artwork to the masses in an affordable manner and potentially with hopes to break into the fashion scene...
"In 2007, Complex published a story in its August issue titled, "An Oral History of the Graphic T-Shirt". We did a series of interviews with streetwear's elite, and the story provided a look into how things got from surf tees to all-over prints. We wanted to archive this story online, but we thought it was important to bring the history up to date as well. So we did a few more interviews, finished out the piece, and here it is. Click on to read Complex's History of the Graphic T-Shirt, as told to you buy the game's greats including Eric Brunetti of FUCT, Rick Klotz of Freshjive, Bobby Hundreds of The Hundreds, Paul Mittleman and Adam Weissman of Stussy, Jeff Staple of Stapledesign, and more..." - Complex - Bradley Carbone, Noah Johnson

Matt Stevens – MAX100 Book Project
This is a great idea, I'll be curious to see what his interpretations are of his passion for one of Nike's most iconic runners to date. The slipcase and cover are genius...
"There is a general consensus among creative types that the reason we embark on challenging ofter impossible creative process is not solely for the end results, but as a way to alleviate mundane outlook of everyday life. For graphic designer Matt Stevens, that process is to mollify something else – his obsession of Nike Air Max 1. A continuation of his ongoing project, Air Max 1-A-Day, where he graphically re-animate a pair of Air Max 1 injected with influences, subject matter, and other daily stimulants. Already at his 60th pairs of designs, Stevens hopes his new MAX100 Book will permit him to finish and compile his creations in a printed matter form. With this, Stevens is pitching his idea worldwide through funding platform KICKSTARTER, where financial benefactors of the MAX100 will receive certain incentives including digital contents, poster, special edition slipcase in the form of Nike shoebox and etc…" - Freshness

Original Fake KAWS Karimoku Wood Companion Figure
Considering the use of wood for the previous 400% Kaws Bearbricks (1st release in lighter wood and the 2nd darker release collaboration with Nexus VII), this is a surprise at all for the Companion. It was more a matter of time and when KAWS decided to apply the treatment to another iconic figure of his.
Beautiful piece, however the price tag of $3000 USD is a bit steep for this release. The previous figure releases in this price range were the 4 foot Companions...
"Today we get a first look at one of the most exciting toy figures to come from Kaws and Original Fake in a while. The iconic Kaws Companion characters returns this Summer in a Karimoku Wood version. Priced at a round 3′000 USD and about 30 centimeters in size, the toy comes limited to only 100 pieces and will release signed and numbered by Kaws, starting May 28th, 2011.
A full look of the figure follows after the jump." - High Snobiety

Lamborghini Sesto Elemanto
Lamborghini's latest testament to being one of the leading exotic/supercar automotive designers in the world...
"When it comes to supercars, only few brands pop into mind. Lamborghini has been a tough contender in the competitive segment and its newest super exclusive Sesto Elemanto is claimed to be the most expensive and fastest car in the world, surpassing the Bugatti Veyron. Due to its high price and extreme attention to detail, there will only be 20 of these cars available in the world. The vehicle is constructed from carbon fiber and carbon fiber reinforced plastic to achieve maximum power to weight ratio of 1.75kg per horsepower. Its V10 5.2 liter engine produces 570 horsepower with a 398lb of torque. Top speed is clocked over 200 miles per hour and the 0 to 62 miles per hour is an eye blinking 2.5 seconds. If you have a spare $2.92 million in your bank account then proceed to the Lamborghini website to order the supercar, which will be commencing production in October. via: automotto" - Freshness

Made In The World: Deadstock Red Wing Boots Store In Tokyo
A small museum of sorts, housing many of Red Wing's classic footwear...
"Few names in footwear evoke the image of classic American craftsmanship in the way that Red Wing Shoes does. Red Wing has been around for over a hundred years, and throughout their long tenure in the footwear world they have maintained a rare level of excellence in their approach to production. Hiding behind a quaint storefront in Tokyo is Made in the World, a store specializing exclusively in deadstock pairs of Red Wing boots. The interior boasts tons of relics from the history of Red Wing Shoes, with every pair therein never having been worn before. Of course, the prices on some of these run pretty steep, but where else are you going to find such a breadth of classic boots in this shape? Check out some more photos of this impressive shop after the jump. via: Red Wing Heritage" - Freshness

'All Unit Portables products feature high quality materials and long lasting construction. The bags utilise a simple-to-use numerical system where each bag, or unit (by definition, a bag, pouch or any other product within the Unit Portables range) has its own number. Any opportunistic thief will find the robust construction makes it impossible to steal an individual unit and its contents without alerting the wearer, but also, a security failsafe is built into the design. Unit 01 operates the same clever attachable strip system internally too, on the outer sides of the sewn-in laptop sleeve. So should you feel that you are in an area where you need to be careful, you can simply move the required detachable Unit inside the bag and re-attach it. This way you still know exactly where everything is, have easy access to it and, you can move freely, knowing that your possessions are safe.'

ZOZOTOWN Online Shopping Site Expansion Plan...
Excited that this provides a more streamlined outlet to purchase goods that were likely out of grasp due to the distance barrier...
"What started as a side business selling hard-to-find albums from New York to friends back in Tokyo, Yusaku Maezawa never imagined that his endeavor will not be a multimillion dollar company but also a catalyst in changing his fellow Japanese shopping habits. Now in its 13th year, Maezawa’s entrepreneurial pursuit, START TODAY, and its ZOZOTOWN online retail concept, will begin a new phase in business development. Towards end of this month, May 2011, ZOZOTOWN will add a new online domain address, ZOZOTOWN.com. With this simple alteration, the Japanese online shopping site effectively starts its global expansion with language support for Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and English. START TODAY also made the necessary improvements in logistic, product processing, and payment acceptance. Purchases done from outside of Japan can be ship to 82 different destinations worldwide with more to follow. Payment too, first through PayPal with more options to come at later. No longer just mere “window shopping”, the new ZOZOTOWN expansion means no shopper have to sit out on buying that rare Japan only Air Jordan." - Freshness

Style File: The Sartorialist Ponders Street-Style Blogs As Social Documents, The Worldwide Ubiquity Of Denim Cutoffs
Scott Schuman, easily recognized as one of the best photo journalist currently around. From one fashion blog to another...
"More often than not, when Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist speaks, people tend to listen to what the fashion photographer has to say. Style catch up with the New York-based photographer in anticipation of his “An Evening With the Sartorialist” to chat about some of the recent developments in his world. A selection of answers is seen below while the whole article can be seen here.
'The landscape has changed so much since you started taking street-style photos.
There’s definitely a lot of people doing it. I don’t do it particularly as competition, but there’s definitely a lot of people doing it now and I think it’s great; I think it makes a great historical document at this moment. In the past, there were people like [Jacques-Henri] Lartigue, who shot street style in Paris in the 1910’s, 20’s and 30’s. Pretty much I think he was shooting the very high end. He came from a very rich family and he was shooting the very dramatic, high end of fashion. And people like the Séeberger brothers did the same thing—shooting the very high end, people going to the racetracks and all that. Bill Cunningham really was one of the first to start shooting on the street, everyday people, from some dressed at a very high level to some dressed at a very interesting level of less expensive clothes. But I think a lot of times he tended to go to the more dramatic.
Now I think the next step of that evolution is people shooting everything, from the overly dramatic to the very subtle to the very trendy. The technology gives us the ability to make a great document of this time...'" - Hypebeast - Eugene Kan

Blackstone ‘Urban Quiver’ Camera Bag
Creative and clever naming for a functional and what seems to be a well-designed and though-out camera bag...
"With all the equipment one carries around these days, a smart storage and carrying solution is always in need. Today we come across the ‘Urban Quiver’ camera bag by Blackstone Bags. The bag is an interesting new take on the camera bag, very different from everything else we have seen out there until now. We like the narrow built of the bag, which must result in a nice balance of the weight on your back. The bag goes for 125 USD from Blackstone.
More images of the bag follow after the jump." - High Snobiety
