Another Stussy Collab for 2010, this time with BAPE utilizing the signature camo...

Head Porter x NSW...

Clean, simple, two iconic labels...
Not too long ago, Nike Sportswear partnered up with Head Porter Plus on a retail venture “NSW Store by Head Porter Plus” which houses both carefully curated items from Nike Sportswear, Head Porter Plus and collaborative items from both. Newly released from the store is a pack of special collaborative co-branded t-shirts that translates both labels’ penchant for simplicity and style. The t-shirts come in two colorways– grey on black and grey on white, and features a simple “NSW HP+” logo on the front. The limited edition t-shirts are available at the NSW Store by Head Porter Plus, so if you are quite feeling for these and is a big fan of both labels, you know where to look. via: houyhnhnm " - Freshness

Girl Skateboards x Hello Kitty 35th Anniversary Collection

Celebrating one of the most famous kitties of all time... the decks and shirt are awesome.

"For something that doesn’t have a smile (Stipulated: Doesn’t have a mouth to.) and has beady eyes, Hello Kitty looks surprisingly lovable and innocent, and has won fans from young to old and intrigued across the gender board for the past three-and-a-half decades. As Hello Kitty celebrated its 35th Anniversary, one of the world’s most beloved feline has managed to draw out an impressive battalion of labels for commemorative collaborations. Amongst the ranks of collaborators is Girl Skateboards founded by pro-skaters Mike Carroll and Rick Howards.
This collaborative collection consists of a deck, wheels and tee. The collaborative deck features not just Hello Kitty, but all her aww-worthy belongings and tiny critter friends, stacked haphazardly in an overwhelming cuteness on the back. On the front, things stay a little simpler with a red black ground, Hello Kitty and a simple co-branded birthday greeting. The t-shirt is black and features the same graphics as spotted on the skate deck, while the wheels are simply dressed in blue with a little Hello Kitty emblazoned on it.
Perfect for the girl who skates, these are currently available at select Girl Skateboards retailers such as Atlas." - Freshness

Being that I tend to be intrigued by random-useless information...

"Okay, maybe they won't literally cause unexpected bowel movements, but "Facts that Will Greatly Disturb You" just didn't have the same ring to it. 1,001 Facts that Will Scare the Sh*t Out of You ($10) is a 300+ page collection of random facts about bugs, disease, animals, and more, each one properly sourced — should you actually want to know more about it — and accompanied by a witty one-liner. Obviously a great bathroom reader, it works equally well for coffee tables, waiting rooms, and light mid-air entertainment." - Uncrate

The Sneaker Coloring Book

Keep it creative folks, for all those customizers and ID fans, this is great...

"For the sneakerhead with a child living inside, Daniel Jarosch and Henri Klingel of design studio, PKNTS, have decided to take the process of custom sneakers back to a more rudimentary level, back on paper and with a lot more enjoyable private moments. Their newly launched “The Sneaker Coloring Book” features 100 of the most iconic and popular sneaker designs from 1916 to the present day, spanning across 16 labels ranging from Nike to adidas Originals, Puma and Onitsuka Tiger.
The coloring book is more than just shapes of perennial sneaker favorites, but the 216 page coloring tome is more like an encyclopedia of kicks, detailing the launch dates, brand, model, name and category of the sneakers. The book is currently available for purchase via Laurence King Publishing, so get your color pencils and crayons ready to get some serious creative action going. As for the eternal coloring controversy about staying within the lines…that’s all up to your creative digression." - Freshness

Both follow a camouflage look, with an olive and navy colorway available; each boasting the minimalist aesthetic synonymous with Head Porter. Available now via honeyee." - Hypebeast - L. Ruano

Fortunately, it's relatively easy to spend at least ¥10,000 at OF...so, I guess these are worth while? Too bad they're not for sale, be pretty awesome to have a deck of these around the house.

OriginalFake – KAWS Dissected Companion BE@RBRICK Black T-Shirt

The figure release has already happened in Japan, I'm just hoping for it to make it stateside at retail and not a ridiculous markup. This shirt is definitely a solid addition to the existing products though...

"A perfect pairing to the just released OriginalFake x MEDICOM TOY – KAWS Dissected Companion BE@RBRICK Black last weekend, OriginalFake created a matching t-shirt in all-black with white outlines of the BE@RBRICK Dissected in White. Outstanding! It would be awesome to see these in person and capture a few photos...
"Acclaimed New Jersey artist and designer KAWS’ first solo museum exhibition is set to open at equally regarded Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum (Ridgefield, Connecticut, USA) sometime in June. The show will showcase his renowned work from merchandise to his most recent works of art, including sculptures, sketches and paintings. Designer Kitchen by Graft

Oh, the love of woodgrain...

"Loft Hamburg, located in a restored building in Winterhude district of Hamburg, is a private 118 square-meter residence designed by Graft. The focal point of the high-ceilinged and otherwise white space is a large pod paneled with walnut. The pod contains the residence’s kitchen and bathroom, hides its central heating, cooling and plumbing, and even provides some cupboards and bookshelves. The owner was looking to use a wide variety of materials, and the walnut pod contrasts beautifully with the soft fabrics, leather and natural stone used elsewhere in the loft.

Graft is an architecture, urban planning and design company established in 1998 in Los Angeles by German architects (,) Lars Krückeberg, Wolfram Putz, Thomas Willemeit and Gregor Hoheisel, all now in their early forties.
Their Berlin office opened in 2001, and Beijing office in 2004. Alejandra Lillo joined Graft as the fifth partner in Los Angeles in 2007. - Tuija Seipell." - Cool Hunter

Supra EE Avenger

I haven't posted much about Supra, primarily probably because I'm not entirely into skate-type shoes. However, I do like their "Jordan'esque inspirations" they use on their designs. Like this one here...

"Supra previews Erik Ellington’s latest signature design, the EE Avenger. Taking obvious cues from an iconic basketball silhouette, the kicks are shown here in a black and grey nubuck colorway with red accents throughout. Look for these to drop this month alongside a complimenting white version." - Hypebeast - L. Ruano

Nike 2010 Fall Air Max 90 Infrared

Another classic to be re-retroed again in the coming months...

"Four years after its last retro release, Nike’s Infrared Air Max 90 makes another return for 2010. One of the brand’s more iconic runner designs, paired along the lines of the Air Max 97 and 95, the 90 is surely a welcome addition to this year’s plethora of timeless drops. August seems to be the month of choice, although we’ll surely confirm an exact date in the coming months. Stay tuned!

Kanye West x The Cleveland Show Rap Battle | Video

FOX has quite a few awesome animated shows, The Cleveland Show being one of them...

"Kanye West met his match on the battle field (thought “stage” might be more appropriate) last Sunday, and who would have thought it’s the little Cleveland Brown Jr.? Yes, you thought right, it’s the Cleveland Brown Jr., son of Cleveland Brown from Family Guy. Last Sunday, Kanye West was turned into an animated character and guest starred on the Family Guy spin-off, The Cleveland Show. Kanye West picked on little Cleveland Brown Jr. to battle after little Brown was spotted talking to his girlfriend. Who would have thought the little dork could have taken Kanye down with the iambic pentameter (according to Brown Jr. anyway)? And apparently, they turned out to be worthy partners because of their shared uncanny ability to sing like robots. Enjoy the clip and check out the full episode on FOX!" - Freshness

OriginalFake x Santastic! – KAWS Hasheem T-Shirt

Awesome anime/comic and a great shirt to go with the figure...

"KAWS have worked on countless American comic and cartoon characters but this might be the first time that a Japanese comic character has been given the KAWS treatment. The Tokyo Tribe comic by Santa Inoue depicts the street life in Tokyo and Hasheem is one of the characters in it. This is a result of OriginalFake and Santastic! teaming up on a limited release and the white version will only be available at Santa Inoue Exhibition at Parco Factory at sixth floor in Parco Shibuya Part 1 from May 8th till 23rd. While the black version will be available at OriginalFake store and in International Creators in Isetan Shinjuku Men’s department store." - Freshness

I've always wondered about these things...things like the "Post-It" note and what not...

"Coat hangers. Sliced bread. Bottled water. These simple yet successful inventions are among the 101 chronicled in Anthony Rubino Jr.'s cleverly funny Why Didn't I Think of That? ($10). This 224-page book looks at the complexity behind these common goods, while offering up tons of questionably useful trivia and imparting some possibly needed advice to future inventors. You won't find this one listed in the academic section, but it's perfectly fine for light coffee table or bathroom break reading."

The North Face Standard | Store Photos

If Purple label was only available stateside...

"If one has to survive in a post apocalyptic world, The North Face Standard would be the perfect place to stock up on survival essentials, and not to mention, one can probably reconstruct a lifestyle around it too, whether one has chose to reside in the mountains or somewhere else. However, since the doomsday 2010 concept is still somewhat questionable, for now hikers and mountaineers, urban crawlers and skyscraper scalers can turn to the newly opened The North Face Standard in Tokyo's Shibuya for a Standard of Living Package.

The newly opened concept store is a four-storey venture, catering both lifestyle and technical, power consumers. Be it scaling Mount Kilimanjaro or simply grabbing a good wind-proof Gore-tex jacket for winter, The North Face Standard has something for every whim and need. The new store is not simply a space filled with goods, but a carefully curated and organized project. Each of the four stories are arranged and decorated according to a specific theme. The themes will change on a regular basis, and the fourth story of the store will be a special exhibition space designed for people/athletes/artists who share special relationships and connections with The North Face. They will be able to leave their messages and marks here, and contribute to a sense of community and art at The North Face Standard.
Thus far, the space has a rustic, unfinished and industrial look with stacks of boxes and and crates artfully arranged in a deliberate insouciance that really conveys the concept that it is the product and functionality which matters (though the space is definitely carefully designed).
Aside from catering to the power and technical users, the concept store will also carry special collaborations with contemporary fashion labels, bridging the gap between fashion and functionality, making the space accessible for the fashion conscious as well. Photos by Neil Hartmann.
