This lightweight outerwear is based on the Gibson Jacket and it uses a 65/35 Hudson Wax cloth, which is water resistant and windproof. Instead of opting for a colorful tone, the team chose the most basic color as these jackets are not usually offered in black. Leather zipper pulls and bronze details suggest vintage aesthetic, while the piping on the inside of the jacket is made from tricolor check material. Air Jordan XI Retro Concord Release Shuts Malls Down, Young Man Dies

I told myself if it wasn't going to be easy and simple for this release, then I wasn't going to bother. Well, in the end, I couldn't add back to the collection what I used to have. As I've said many times, I regret selling my NDS first release retros for retail. Hopefully that will come back one day if it already hasn't in the form of shoe collector karma.

However, this type of attention and the "crowd" it draws really detracts from the desire to want these shoes. Sigh...

"Who would have thought that we would see any of this again in the sneaker world. Earlier this week people started lining up and camping out in front of sneaker stores to get their hands onto the re-issue of the Air Jordan 11 Retro Concord, which was scheduled to release today, December 23rd, 2011.
Now reports have come up that police had to shut down several malls in Austin and Seattle and had to use pepper spray to keep the crowd in order. There is even a report of a young man dying after being stabbed over the shoes in Washington, D.C. In Richmond, California the shoe sales were canceled at Hilltop Mall after shots were fired into the air.
Guys, what is going on here? We are talking about sneakers, a passion for many. This is not supposed to happen. Unbelievable!

Montreal gets a new store front that offers some quality menswear with a focus on craftsmanship and Japanese labels...

"TATE + YOKO is a new Montreal-based menswear boutique focused primarily on quality craftsmanship. In store you’ll find a selection products from cult Japanese brands such as Studio D’Artisan, The Flat Head, Momotaro, Eternal, Oni, Kamikaze Attack and D# as well as the founder’s own Paulrose Products and Naked & Famous Denim lines.
Channeling the 40s and 50s aesthetics many of these labels are inspired by, the shop itself is fitted almost entirely with vintage industrial fixtures as well as custom metal piping, hangers and racks. As owner Brandon Svarc says, “wood is for pussies!”

Wood Paneling Cupcake Wrappers

Give those cupcakes a woodland feel...

"Created by popular demand! I posted a photo of a rough version of these cupcake wrappers on my site, NellieCakes.com, around summer time and since then I've received more than a few emails, from many different sites and viewers asking where they could buy them!
It took me a while but they're finally finished and I'm very proud of these. They look exactly like wood paneling, down to the slight gloss of the real thing! They stand a half inch out of a standard cupcake tray (don't bake them though! I just used the tray for scale!) so they will fully cover your liners but you should still be able to see the icing and/or cupcake after wrapping them.

The wrappers are professionally printed and hand cut. I also darken the cut edges so they're not sticking out like sore thumbs... trust me on this one. It makes them look much better!

This set of twelve (12) is shipped flat so you can tailor the wrappers to fit your cupcakes exactly. I recommend using clear tape to put them together, with one piece on the outside seam and one on the inside seam for the best stability. If you're careful, the tape peels off and the wrappers can be used again!

If you need a larger amount, feel free to contact me. I cannot give a discount for quantities less than 120 though. I just can't afford it with how much the printer charges me. I wish I could though. (I actually feel guilty about not being able to... I probably shouldn't because it's out of my hands, but I still do. I'm sorry!)

However, I'm not holding my breath, as it seems the Juke now isn't the most sought after vehicle, nor has anyone really taken the time to tune it...

"When it became clear Nissan was moving forward of its Juke-R project, we did our best impression of Edvard Munch’s painting “The Scream” in our office. Who in their right minds would drop a perfectly good 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine from Nissan GT-R into a car with close resemblance to a toad. But when officials at Nissan finally unveiled the finished product this week, we were stupefied. In a semi-matte black finish with 20-inch alloy wheels, performance suspension, and rear wings, the car looks amazing. And even with the addition of a roll cage, its interior is still spacious. With no plans for mass production, this one-off vehicle will be heading to the racetrack for some performance tests. The development came as union officials, players, and their representatives met for a 4-hour strategy session this morning. At the heart of the matter was persistent impasse between the players and NBA team owners’ demands on the latest contract negotiation. Just before the weekend, NBA team owners along with NBA Commissioner David Stern warned about further negotiations, that the players should agree on the final contract proposals. Simply could not accept the contract terms, the N.B.P.A. decided to dissolve the union instead. By doing so, the players are now free to file lawsuit against the NBA as a challenge to the current lockout’s legality under antitrust law. Thus, making an already contemptuous situation even more so.

This small, but amazing camera enables the user to easily capture an image with the simple press of a button (doesn’t sound too special being that that is how one normally captures an image, but there’s more to it). What is captured is a living image brought possible by the camera’s ability to capture the entire field of light, as opposed to a single plane of light like conventional cameras. As a camera enthusiast, this is great. You also are given the ability to focus your image after it is taken.
